Tea Safety Details: How Do Yoshantea's Tea Workers Dress?

Hello everyone,

I’m Andy, a tea enthusiast.

In food safety process control,

“people” are often one of the riskiest factors.

In addition to proper education and training,

if staff attire is not well-regulated,

it may lead to irreversible food safety issues.

Aside from following the basic dress code required by the TFDA (Taiwan Food and Drug Administration),

here are some additional uniform guidelines Yoshantea enforces for tea production staff, and the reasons behind them:

Detail 1: Wear Long Sleeves

Reason: Prevent body hair from falling into the tea.

Detail 2: Wear Socks

Reason: Some people wear shoes without socks, which can create odors and look unprofessional.

Detail 3: Use NBR Gloves Instead of Latex

Reason: To avoid allergic reactions caused by latex.

Detail 4: No Pockets or Buttons Above the Waist

Reason: To prevent foreign objects from falling into the tea.

Detail 5: No Listening to Music with Earphones

Reason: To avoid distraction and ensure clear communication.

Detail 6: No Stepping on Shoe Heels

Reason: It looks sloppy and is considered unlucky in local culture.

These rules may seem simple,

but they come from our real-life experience and careful observations in daily tea production.

By focusing on every detail,

we can maintain quality, minimize risks, and ensure tea safety and hygiene.

That’s all for today

see you next time!
